P90X FAQ

Demand for weight loss techniques remains high. So when the P90X was launched nobody doubted that it would be an instant hit. Since its launch in 2004 it has sold over two million copies of the exercise system.

So are you curious about P90x? There are many things you should know about the program. Here are some of the top frequently asked questions about this weight loss regimen.

How does P90X System work?

The exercise program covers three aspects that make it work. First, it deals with muscle confusion. The program sets a confusing set of core, stretching, and cardiovascular exercises for unpredictability. This way, the program does not allow the muscles to go on a ‘plateau.’ Second, the system involves diverse exercises. It prevents unnecessary and distracting boredom. Most exercises involve almost all or most of the main muscles across the entire body. There are even additional routines and activities included like Yoga, Plyometrics, and Kenpo. Third, there is efficiency. In as little as an hour, you could sweat more, get your muscles pumped, burn more fats, do cardio, and at the same time tone muscles.

What is P90X all About?

Power 90 Extreme or P90X is an exercise system designed for people who prefer to perform workout routines at home. The program is consisting of 12 videos, all containing insights, tips, demonstrations, and discussions about ways and strategies to achieve a slimmer and healthier physique in as fast as 90 days (hence the name). This exercise program emphasizes fitness not just of specific body parts but of the entire body. Generally, the exercise routines consist of strength training, cardiovascular, and stretching tasks. The system also includes nutritional or dieting planning.

What is the dietary or Nutritional requirement?

The nutrition and diet component of P90X is not very strict and sacrificial. It does not require users to consume more of specific types of foods. It does not encourage total starvation. The system only advises users to follow simple disciplinary measures when eating. First, it advises users not to eat late. Second, P90X dieting encourages you to prepare your own meals ahead. Third, the program discourages you from consuming corn syrup and fructose.

Who developed P90X System?

The revolutionary exercise program was developed by a personal trainer named Tony Horton. He is among the most popular in his field. That is because he is currently associated with several Hollywood celebrities, who have been hiring his personal training services. Mr. Horton used to be a striving actor. He shifted full time into physical and personal training in the 1990s. In 2001, he started releasing exercise videos through his initial project, Power 90. In 2004, he launched P90X, which obviously became a bigger hit.

  1. Free Exercises Said,

Resistance bands are great for working out at home. Not only are they affordable, they take up very little space in your home. You can travel with them too. I’ve got some free exercises that
your readers might be interested in. They’re live daily workouts, but they record them so
they can be watched when you have time. I like these because I don’t get bored like I do with
DVD’s. Every day they have a new workout, but it’s complimentary to the previous day’s
workout. They’ve got a good mix of cardio and strength training. There are workouts for
men, women, and teens. It’s like having a personal trainer in your own home.

  2. Chad Said,

Great review of the program. You’re right, the % of overweight american’s is alarming. Even if someone thinks P90X is too extreme, there are alternative such as Power 90 which will help you work up to P90X. That’s actually the route I took.
